Xcom 2 sharpshooter abilities5/18/2023 This might not sound amazing on paper, but when you only need to clear out 3-5 pods of 3-6 ayys, being able to take that many extra shots/actions is going to be very handy. Note that two of those shots can be exchanged for actions/abilities for Soldier A. That's a total of 4 regular shots between two soldiers in one turn. Soldier A: Shoots (free action, see above) Soldier A: Shoots Soldier B: Grants one action to Soldier A Soldier A: Shoots Soldier B: Uses ability to make both bondmates shoot a target. Tier three allows a soldier to make his bondmate help him shoot a target - this does NOT consume an action for the bondmate. though I probably wont think too much of it and play as if it doesnt exist. then they can easily give up their action for teamwork and allow those that are shooting to get better options. This way when the situation isnt right for the non actives to use their abilities. The reason for this is because the non actives are mainly there to use their abilities and have little to no focus on shooting (except snipers, but many of the times, they are setting up to shoot) while the actives are there to fire their guns often. while active units would be gunslingers, Gunner grenadiers, Overwatch specialist, and all rangers. non active units would be Grenade focus grenadier, snipers, Support specialist, and scouting reapers. Though if I had to choose, i'd say i'd do pairs with non active with active units. if its like the psi op's ability to remove negative effects if you are in the aoe, thus just running pass them is enough to break them out of it, then thats pretty cool. though removing negative effects if beside each other may have some merit depending on how it works. The whole giving bonuses if side by side is utterly useless to me since I never have people standing next to each other in a fire fight. I havent seen a tier 3 bond yet so not sure what that will bring. I personally dont think the bonding system adds much at all.įrom what I've seen, they can exchange actions to other units, and improve one another if next to each other.
